    Hello:

I just purchased Shelley Allegro Script (TT).

In Photoshop it appears the way it did at MyFonts.com while in Illustrator the font is more upright.

Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks.

Check your Photoshop charachter palette flyout menu to see if you have Faux Italic enabled. Once you use it once, or unintentionally activated this with a keyboard command(happeneded to me once but not sure if CS2 has this key command available) it sticks, and can cause a problem as you are experiencing.

Thanks for responding; its not the faux italic in PS.

The problem is in Illustrator where it does not have the expected “italic slant”- The font is too upright in AI.

Actually as I was just rechecking PS & AI with the font in question it worked as expected in both.

When I installed the font yesterday I only closed out of Illustrator but did not restart the machine. Perhaps the fresh boot this morning helped.

Time to repair permissions & get disk warrior out too.

    Thanks again.
