Several references have pointed me towards a video for the Good/Better/Best method of producing video for Youtube ..

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWMX5lSvEgY

    Following this though …. ( I have MSP 12)
When it gets to part at 6:30 “render as quick time, use the default uncompressed template
There isn’t one …. all Quicktime templates installed with MSP12 are compressed with Sorenson codec.
How do I get an uncompressed template ?

I could set Video format to None … but then what would I set for ‘compressed depth’ etc.

    Hi Rick,

Select the 3mbps Video template and then Customize Template…, then proceed with the tutorial making the necessary changes to conform to the tutorial.

    Best Regards…..George

To use DnxHD,you’ll have to download the Avid codecs package. Here is the link. https://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/download/Avid-QuickTime-Codecs-LE

Regardless, this approach requires rendering to an intermediate, an unnecessary step in my view. A better alternative is this. https://www.vegasvideo.de/vegas-2-handbrake-en Once it’s set up, it is very easy to easily render in Handbrake without have to make an intermediate. Saves a lot of time.
