I am using AE CS3 and for some reason I am having a problem with the foam effect. If I increase the production rate past 2.000, I get a weird jitter effect 10 seconds into my RAM preview. If I stop the RAM preview before the 10 second mark and then start it up again, I can get another 10 seconds before it will jitter. Also if I go “Make Movie” and hit render I will get the jitter effect, but if I go export to Quicktime movie I will not get the jitter effect. I don’t understand why it is doing this. Can someone please let me know if they are having or had this problem.

Sounds like a RAM problem. If it is, you might get it to render without the jitter, by going into the “secret” settings and setting it to purge every 240 frames (about eight seconds, assuming 30fps). This’ll take longer to render, but it should render without the jitter.

I have tried the RAM purge both at the setting of 240 and 1 and still getting the same problem. Any other thoughts.
