  foam pre comp stutter

  Hi all …wierd this one … I have foam generating some particles and I want them to cast a shadow so I precomped … the precomp plays smooth but the comp (in which the precomp is … whatever it’s called … comp I guess) has developed a stutter/jitter as if every few frames or so frames are dropped and the generating foam jumps … I’ve looked at everything … turned off the effect … to no avail. When I render out the movie and bring it into the comp it’s fine … guess it’ll be one of those things I’ll never get to the bottom of unless anyone has come across the problem before ?
