flying paper column
Posted by Anthony Blinco on November 5, 2008 at 4:47 amdoes anybody know if there is a particle emitter that would simulate a column of paper flying around. i would like to control the direction of the paper as well

November 5, 2008 at 8:43 pmlike this. the paper flies out of the box and moves around in a column. like a snake. does that make sense? i figure it’s gotta be a fountain type of movement seeing as all the paper starts in the box.

November 10, 2008 at 4:02 pmThe key here is in the image sequence you’ll use for the paper. You can’t just load a single image of paper — it will have to be animated in some way to provide some complex motion.
Take a look at some of the “feather” emitters in particleIllusion (search using particleView) for an example of what I mean.
You could also take a look at the “confetti” emitters (again search with particleView).
