  • FluidFilm problems on upgraded Pro5 HD system, is it a AMD related problem?

    Hi all:

I have been working yesterday in a small facility on a commercial promo. We used an Adrenaline HD to work on, however they had a separate system with a newly upgraded Xpress Pro HD to digitise some of the HDV footage via component at the same time as we were editing. In one of our tests I stumbled on a problem. The fluidFilm effect would not work and would cause errors all the time. I asked one of the chaps at the studio about the PC specs and told me the CPU was an AMD. The system had 2Gig of RAM and an impressive Nvidia FX3000.

Is this a CPU related program? Aparently the system never gave errors with previous versions. They upgraded from 4.6 to 5 just a coupled of days before I used it and hadn’t had anyone using it before me.

Any clues as to why this might be happening? It would be great to know why because I have been booked again for 3 days next week and if this is an ongoing issue I’ll have to tell them to downgrade to 4.6.

    Thanks

    SAM
