    Hello

I just acquired flip4mac in its extensive form and it works fine in FCP

BUT it does not do any good in AE. I still cannot work with .wmv files in AE on my mac whereas it is why I bought the soft in the first place.

I read in threads that it was doable. Is there anything I have to do in order to get flip4mac to work with AE?

because in their user’s guide, when it comes to “supported applications” they don’t mention AE!

BTW: I’m on a mac book pro if it is of any relevance.

Then why are you surprised that Flip4Mac doesn’t work in AE?
well maybe because of that kind of info I got:

You’ll need to invest in some third-party software.

Flip4Mac can give you access to a whole bunch of Windows-oriented stuff. Fork over $150, please.

Flip4mac is offered in 4 different versions based on the users needs.
I think the studio version ($50) will allow WMV output from AE.

+ I did not access the readme file of flip4mac prior to buying it and I assumed it was only codec matters that’d be solved by installing flip4mac on the comp. guess I was wrong.

Now thanks for the response even though you did not help me much in that case (I already did convert my wmv to mov before putting them in AE on the mac, but I thought there might be ways to go around that hassle)…
