    Hi All,

I have worked with Flip video footage before but it has always been short format and just for the web. I have a client who needs the Flip media on a DV tape in order to capture the footage to his really outdated AVID system. I don’t know if there’s a better workflow, but this is what they suggested. I have about an hour and a half of mp4 files. I figured just rendering in FCP then printing to video would be the best option but it’s taking forever.

Is there another method that I’m overlooking that might be easier/quicker or do I have to wait this render out? I don’t want to wait the hours it’s taking me to render these mp4’s only to have something go wrong, but I don’t know what other options there are. Thanks for the help,

    – Will

Compressor should also do the job, or if you have Adobe Media Encoder, it could transcode the files in the background.

Ya, run em thru compressor and create the DV25 files.
Bring em into FCP and print to tape.

Thanks for that suggestion. I didn’t want to use mpeg streamclip because there were so many files. Media Encoder was able to batch convert which was great. It made that process much easier

Thanks for the suggestion — Adobe Media Encoder was really helpful for the batch conversion.
