July 11, 2005 at 12:04 amYeah, don’t use DV codec ever if you don’t have to. Use a lossless codec like Animation(RGB) or Blackmagic(YUV).
As far as your flicker. Check the archives. This is asked every week or so. There should be a lot of resposes from past threads.

July 11, 2005 at 1:26 pmThis is common when using high-res photo scans. Try applying a Gaussian soft-focus to the comp.
add an adjustment layer to your comp, apply the Gaussian blur filter with a strength of 5 – 10. Then set the adjustment layer’s transparency to 10% – 15%
This should eliminate most of the flickering and/or pixel-crawl (dork around with the strength and transparency if it doesn’t)
