I normally edit in DVC Pro HD 60, cause that is the codec my client captures.
I’ve been having some weirdness (very minor, but annoying) so I did some research and learned that
when using the AJAHD, its best to work in Prores.

So my current project I used the easy setup that was AJA prores instead of AJA DVCPro.

Everything worked ok, still have some weirdness with different parts of my sequence showing up on my monitor during still (mostly unrendered stuff) but again thats not major, when I render things are fine.
I will continue to see whats up with that.

My issue is that before I had no problems taking my DVC ProHD, converting it in compressor and burning to a dvd, they always played perfectly.

I used the same method, the only thing different is the prorez sequence.
When I simulate within DVDSP and on the burned DVD, I get an annoying flicker that isn’t constant, but enough to let me know something is up.
My sequence is 59.94 fps, but that’s never cause any problem during conversion (compressor – best quality 90min preset). I tried forcing 29.97fps, but that just played the video at 50% speed (which looked pretty sweet b y the way).

    Any thoughts, suggestions or comments?????

Flicker on DVD playback usually means the field dominance got screwed up somewhere, trying changing this in compressor and see if it works better?

I work in DVPAL and 8 Bit Blackmagic, so can’t comment in regards to those specific codecs, sorry.
