    Good day everyone.

I came back to work today and I have encountered my first FCP/Kona glitch of the New Year. A client gave us 10-bit Uncompressed 23.98 Quicktime files to be printed to a 1080i D5. I was going to layoff the film from Final Cut Pro using the Kona 3 to convert the footage to 1080i from a 23.98 timeline but the Kona card or Final Cut Pro is causing the footage to flicker. The flicker looks like there was a bad HMI or fluorescent light in the scene. When I play the footage as 23.98 it is fine and when I set Final Cut Pro’s output to 1080i 29.97 8-bit it is fine. It seems to only be the 10-bit option that causes this to happen.

Has anyone seen this? I am using Final Cut Pro 6.05 and version 6.0 of the AJA control panel on a dual 3.0 Ghz Intel Mac. I have checked my reference signal as well.

    Thanks!

[Eugene Lehnert] “version 6.0 of the AJA control panel”

Have you tried uninstalling v6 and installing v6.0.2? You updated the firmware on the card?
