I’ve had no luck getting a Premiere project into DaVinci. Here’s the lowdown…

Its a multi-cam project. Multicam, Premiere, and xml don’t mix. EDLs don’t either – matched code notwithstanding.

Thinking I was super-clever, I brought my rendered file into Premiere, stacked it on top of the original edit, and added edits at every cut. I then deleted the original clips and exported an xml with only the video.

Brought it into DaVinci and voila! All my cuts are there perfect. Problem is, though the timeline lists 90 clips, and though I am working on clips, not the track, when I grade 1 clip, 89 others do the same thing.

    Has to be simple, right?

    Thanks in advance!

find the option in settings tab V8 or conform option section in V9, page 81 of the manual

    “Split source clips for pre-conform”

This is a better method for approaching a pre-conform..

All these workflows are clearly delineated in the manual. You could have saved yourself a lot of time if had just opened it.
