Flash to After Effects???
Hi, Ive created a video in after effects, which i eventually want to render out for tv. The video needs to have a flash overlay of techy type animation, the problem is, that im creating it in flash, but im not sure how to get those flash sequences into the after effects timeline. Whats the best way to do this?
P.S. ive tried exporting a video with a blue screen background, and if thats ur answer, please specify the flash output settings.

if you have quicktime installed, After Effects can import a swf directly. I have to do this all the time.
You might want to think about frame rate, AE does a pretty good job of sorting it out automatically, but it would probably give a better result if your flash movie is set to 25 fps or 29/30 fps.

Not too sure if FLash outputs to image sequences and/or QT but if it does either then look for one that supports 32-bit. If this is impossible then render your stuff to white and with a black background. Then in AE, use the Shift Channels plugin and set the Alpha to an appropriate setting. Then apply TInt to color to taste.
