    Hi guys,

    Been ages since a visit here, hope the community is all good!

    I have to create a sequence for some event projections.

    Essentially it’s a grid of paper hearts they fade up, start to slowly flap, as they do they fill with colour, then as the flapping increases (to fluttering) they start to randomly fly off towards the camera in 3d space.(see ref pics)

    Im thinking precomp one heart with the animation, nest this animation into another comp, (with lights for shadows etc) then trigger the flapping with time remap. perhaps trigger the colur fill with layer markers? Even the position change (toweards cam with layer markers too?

    But I’m not sure how to go about this, I have a ping pong expression in the precomp on the heart ‘wings’rotation which is flapping the heart nicely but I cant work out how to change the intenstity of the speed and rotation increase over time. Any ideas? any scripts I can use to make this easier? Trying to avoid doing this all ‘manually’ . I hope this makes sense!!

    Thank you in adv.

    Try adding a slider for your duration value, then altering your pingpong expression to this:

    loopOutDuration("pingpong", effect("Slider Control")("Slider"));

    You can then keyframe the slider, the smaller the number the faster the flapping. ?It’s adding a pause between pingpong cycles, so you probably want to go from 1 to 0.5
