    Hey People

First time here in the forums and i need your help. I am a freelance compositor who is working on a short World War 2 film. I have purchased a copy of PI3 for the Mac and love it. I am working on a shot that is a ruined city. In one of the holes in the wall burns a fire. The hole is a flat 2D image tha has been composited onto the backgroundplate. I am trying to work out how to create a glow in the the hole as if it is reflection of the flames against the walll

    Any help would be greatfull

    Thank you in advance

A picture (PI3 project file) worth than thousand words. But it only works if the shot is steady. Otherwise you’re not in luck. Anyway, draw the glow map youself in Photoshop-type SW (mine is Paint Shop Pro). And remember to change the canvas in 128/256/512/etc. pixel to avoid the resizing during the shape import into PI3. (Although you can alter the size with non-aspect ratio.)

The link above is no longer working. Any chance of getting it back up…I’m looking for something that will help me do the same thing with my flames.
