flag going from side to side – NOT waving in the wind
I’ve already got my flag flying in the wind, with no plugins, thanks to this list. What I am trying to do now is make it sweep across the page, like those people at football games running around with the flags on big flagpoles. However, mine does not look very realistic – does anyone have any expressions that might help me make this look smoother?

I don’t know for sure if this is the problem, (you aren’t too specific as to what looks unrealistic) but does the speed of the ripples in the flag match the speed of the flag’s translation?
