I have some old fills/mattes from digibeta that I’m combining into QTs with embedded alpha using AE 6.5. The problem… when I import the QTs back into Avid, the elements are a little bit transparent. I then looked at the matte color, and noticed it was not quite 100% white (it was about 234 rgb). I tried the “replace color” effect to increase the white levels and it works, however the soft edging of the mattes are now lost a little. So my question is… how can I boost the overall white levels of the mattes so they key correctly?

You’re not being too simple… I’m being too stupid!

It worked fine… just had to find the sweet spot… Thanks for your help.
