Fix Judder/Strobing/Ghosting Issue
Hi there,
Been looking for a week for a definitive answer to my problem. But i’m not sure of the exact terminology for the issue.
In short i have unwanted artifacts on footage i shot with a pan.
I shot with 2 cameras, at 25fps and 23.97 fps and i have this juddering effect on play back.
Here is the 25fps footage:

Can i remove this flickering in any way? This is already the 2nd time we’ve shot the footage, so a re-shoot is out of the question.

If you haven’t messed up with the file frame rates then your problem is a bad dolly/slider/not so smooth operator. You might want to try the Warp Stabilizer plugin to smooth it out.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve tried Warp Stabiliser and the problem remains, i think the frame rate and shutter speed may be the problem.
Since posting i’ve had some success with slowing the footage down and applying CC Force Motion blur in AE.
I’ll post some results later.
