I was wondering how to fit an image (texture) perfectly to a shape. That is if I’m in photoshop and outline an object then create it as a spline in cinema 4d how do I have that image fit the spline perfectly and without the white space on the rest of the page. Basically I’m wanting to take flat drawings of trees, people etc. and have them in the 3d world with a bit of an extrude. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Try the Vectorizer Object, (Objects / Spline Primitive / Vectorizer).

In the Attributes-Manager open your image into the Texture-window of the Vectorizer.
(this works best with black and white simple images / Tree white -Background black)
Maybe use the Alpha-Map from Photoshop as a Vectorizer-Image.

In the Object-Manager drag your Vectorizer-Object into an Extrude-NURBS,
than project your colour-image onto that tree, try Flat Projection,
try Tags / Fit to Object / otherwise you might have to scale it a little to fit
    (use the texture tool).

    Cheers
