That is probably a bit snappier than most, but I think that transcoding to an intermediate format still likely takes longer on any given system than audio conforming if the cache files are targeted properly (not to the system drive) and the machine has the drive space on a drive that’s fast enough…

May 1, 2013 at 5:26 amNo, I actually compared the time, the XDCAM Browser software needs to ingest the material into FCP and the time PPro needs to confirm the material the moment you drop it on the TL. The first one needs on my system a little longer, but minimal.
