First RAM preview of the day vs the 2nd one.
When I first boot up my computer for the day and go to a project I’m working on (that is admittedly heavy on the layers/particles/expression), the first RAM preview I do is *so* fast, I’m almost watching it playing at full speed! Then, I’ll make one little change and RAM preview a 2nd time, and boom – it chugs to a point where I can post this post, enjoy a coffee, etc. It slows down like crazy. Can anyone explain this behaviour? Is there anyway to fix it?

Did you make any changes to your project before your first preview? If not, you are probably just loading from the disk cache which is why its quick. Once you make changes that require a re-render, you will be rendering at normal speed.
