First play – wrong menu
Using encore CS4 I have a problem with first play. I have two menus. One is set as first play. In preview it works well, but after building (on DVD and DVD folder as well) it starts with the second menu.

Hi Willy,
before your DVD is playing the first menu you should jump to a video-track to keep the resume-values of your player happy.it could be a small (3-5sec) black-track with silence-audio, or a disclaimer and the end-jump link to your prefered menu.

Thank you for answering.
I think I already solved the problem, at least I have a nice working DVD.
The sollution I used is not just set the menu as first play, but in the disc menu I actualy linked to the first button of this menu!Suddenly it worked out right, but if it happens next time again the wrong way out, I will use your suggestion.

I just wanted to add what I found that fixed this for me for anyone searching google.
I was in the flowchart section and I clicked on the DVD icon. In there
I noticed the Title button settings was different than the first screen I wanted.I changed that and it worked from there when I did a rebuild to folder.
I suspect different devices use different methods to get to the first screen.Hope this helps someone.
