July 17, 2013 at 9:47 pmI think this news broke about a month ago.
https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/335/55739Adobe does still make Encore CS6 available though. Apple basically made the whole this go away when FCPX was released (unless you made the phone call and bought the entire FCS suite).
I’ll note again this is authoring that’s being impacted. With FCPX I can still make a simple playable DVD and Blu-ray with primitive menu. You can still burn video files on an optical disc if you need to make a physical delivery.

July 17, 2013 at 11:39 pmI thought this sounded familiar. I still have clients who ask for authored DVDs, and DVD Studio Pro still works just fine.

July 18, 2013 at 12:37 amYou can still get Encore CS6. There simply is no CC version.

July 18, 2013 at 1:02 amThere is a difference between no support, end of life, and no further development. Manufactures tend to “support” apps for many years beyond the end of life cycle. They usually mean no new development. for example, Avid recently released a new 5.5.x and 6.5.x to support bins from the new v7. Nothing new, just supported. I suspect the same for Adobe and Encore.

July 18, 2013 at 1:08 amHere’s a useful link – it seems that you can download Encore CS6 as an ancillary file with the CC. I don’t know how or why, but it’s pretty well explained here:
