Firewire media storage for Meridien?
Hi
Will a win 2000 based Avid Xpress Meridien work with firewire media storage? Of will it only run on SCSI or Fibre channel?
What are the options for adding more media space?

The FW you have on that machine is almost certainly 1st generation FW400 – maybe fast enough for offline storage, but no where near fast enough for editing.
Your best bet is to stick with SCSI or fibre. You can still find LVD160 drives on ebay for decent prices.
