I think I’m having a FW bus problem which may require Applecare servicing!
Question for the pros here… Can I buy a FW PCI card to get me by a couple of weeks? Any issues with the Kona?

I really can’t afford the downtime now (figures…all the work coming in at once… it couldn’t die over the holidays right?).

Any advice? I’m looking at the Adaptec 4300 which I can easily pick up at CompUSA. I need to be up and running NOW!….and I know I will need some elements from my LaCie drives. At the very least I can move data to my SCSI drives.

    Thanks in advance.

YES – this will work, and it will certainly help you confirm if you have a true FW problem.

    Thanks Bob…
Yeah…I already have the error codes from the hardware test, so I’m 90% sure its a board issue…unless I’m missing a trick. PRAM and SMU resets didn’t solve the issue either. I have 5 FW drives and a AJA IO that aren’t recognized. My local Apple guys need at least 3 or 4 days to diagnose and swap…I just don’t have that time now.

    Thanks again
    Ron
