My question relates to how to adjust the EX-1R to approach the filmic look of my old Panasonic AG-DVX-100B SD camera. I found the look so wonderful and now that I’ve got a Sony EX-1R I’m trying to achieve a similar film look. I’ve applied Martin Beek’s recommended scene profile setting for the filmic look.

I’m toying with the Cine gama curves, 1/48th shutter speed, 24p and the Detail level set for -25. How far can you usually go with the detail settings? Have you found any other good ways to reduce the electronic look of this camera other than in post with colour correction plug-ins like Magic Bullet Colorista or Looks (Red Giant) in FCP?

    Cheers,

    Jim
