  • Find “F” (matchback) not working with subclip

This should be a new topic. I haven’t been on FCP for a while but should I expect a problem matching back (via Find command “F”) from a subclip I made from an imported clip?* (ie matching back to the camera clip (master? parent?) from the subclip) BTW “remove subclip limits” works so the subclip knows something about where it came from.

Might be a flaw in my TC workaround I posted re Canon footage. You’ll recall I’m importing “camera” mov’s because I was not able to ingest the Canon footage via Log and Transfer.

The workaround I hit on is to “reveal in finder” which works. (to at least id the mstr clip without having to squint at TC columns) Seems strange not be able to matchback from a sub clip to its Master (or is it Parent)
