I had a few questions about FinalTouch HD.

Has anyone used the software with the dvcpro-hd codec or uncompressed HD (8 bit) codec?

Can you color correct dvcprohd then output to HDCAM? and is that broadcast acceptable?

    What hardware scopes are ncessesary?

Do you need an external HD-SDI waveform monitor or vectroscope to use with FinalTouch?

    Thanks

[Aberfoyleguy] “Has anyone used the software with the dvcpro-hd codec or uncompressed HD (8 bit) codec?”

Yep, just starting using it with DVCPro HD material.

[Aberfoyleguy] “Can you color correct dvcprohd then output to HDCAM? and is that broadcast acceptable?”

Yep, do that all the time. It’s broadcast acceptable so long as your levels all meet the specs of the network you’re mastering for. They all have a Producer Handbook which includes all the technical specs for Post Production.

[Aberfoyleguy] “What hardware scopes are ncessesary?”

Don’t need them. Fully accurate scopes are included as part of FT and that’s the big reason why I purchased it.

[Aberfoyleguy] “Do you need an external HD-SDI waveform monitor or vectroscope to use with FinalTouch?”

    Nope.
