Finalcut Studio update
What’s included with Apple’s update of finalcut studio? Is there support of Canon 5d Mk2 video or still require to convert before import?

Mainly bug fixes and added support for cameras to ACCESS their footage.
FCP can already natively work with h.264 footage from the Canon camera. It is QT. BUT, H.264 is processor intensive and will slow down the computer with long projects. Same thing as Avid…it can access it, but with longer projects, slow downs occur.
Best to transcode…and you have a WIDE variety of ways to do that.
It isn’t Apple…it’s the H.264 format.
