    Hello,
I am trying to update my finalcutpro 5.1.4 to 6.0.4. I have downloaded the pro applications 2008-02, but whenever I try to install, I get a message saying that I do not need this update. Is there any way I can upgrade my version of finalcut another way? I need to open projects that I edited on newer versions on my computer. It is running on leopard.

    Thanks in advance,
    Joanna

    Joanna,

I think you need to order the box. Updates are for after that. You can get it at the Apple Store if you have one, and I think Best Buy sells Apple stuff now too.

    Have a wonderful day.

You cannot download an upgrade from 5.x to 6.x. You need to purchase that upgrade in a box. A fairly large & heavy box, BTW.

If there’s an Apple store or a large computer or photo/video store near you, you should be able to walk in, drop some money on the counter & walk right out with it.

The Pro Apps upgrades are not upgrades from FCP5 to FCP6, they are upgrades from FCP 6.0 to 6.0.1, 6.0.2 etc. You need to buy FCP6 first.
