Final Export question
Hi,
I have finished a feature documentary about 100 mins in the DV codec. Now I need to export it as a sc reference file for a DVD duplicating co, and for festivals entries.
Can anyone suggest, based on their experience, what would be the best output for titles and images for a project like this?Thanks

I don’t think FCp 5.1.4 has prores as an available codec.

oh, in that case 8-bit uncompressed.
if you don’t have the room, DVCPRO-50 might be an option while maintaining good looking titles.

By that you mean to change the settings on the sequence and re- render to then export with current settings..right?thanks

with 5.1.4 I don’t think you can change the codec but I could be wrong.
move your renders to another folder or delete them altogether.
then export it and change the audio video settings to 8-bit uncompressed.

Do a short test with a section with titles (marked in and out points)
to confirm before you do the whole thing.
