Every once in a while for some reason I can’t see my timeline on my monitor. I have it hooked up through firewire from my computer to my DVCAM and then from the DVCAM to the monitor. The only time it will play on the monitor is if I’m Printing to Video. It just stopped working for no apparent reason.

I tried replacing the firewire…I tried unplugging and restarting the DVCAM and restarting the computer. I’m just wondering if there is a setting that i’m missing that I may have accidentally switched. (Highly doubt it). It’s also happening to a co-worker of mine.

Anyone else ever had this problem or know of a possible solution??

Make sure you have Firewire set as the Playback mode in Audio/Video settings. Also check: View>External Video is set to “All Frames”.

Brilliant! I don’t how that got switched off…the External Video > All Frames did it.

    Thanks!
