Final Cut Pro/Compresser FLV Output
I have Final Cut 5.1 on my G5 along with Flash 8. Through reading different forums I’ve come to understand I’ve been able to output flv files directly from Final Cut because the flash video exporter plugin gets installed into quicktime. This allows me to select “Export Quicktime Conversion” and when I select Format…voila, I have FLV in the list. My company just bought one of the intel G5’s and have installed Final Cut 6.0.1 with Flash 8 Professional. Quicktime 7.2 is installed. Running OS X 10.4.10. Is there a way to have this new configuration output flv files directly from Final Cut or even from Compressor? I tried going through compressor 3.1 and selecting through “Quicktime Export Components” as mentioned somewhere, no flv available. I hate when functionality is removed. Thanks.

try looking in the FCP help system for FLV.
I see it on my machines using Export wuicktime Conversion. FLV is after 3G, AIFF, Windows Media and FLC but before iPod.If you don’t have those, you may not have run all fo the OS and ProApp updates.

I have that as well on the 5.1 system. I need it on the FCP 6.0.1 system as well. The second computer is for our editorial department and they need the same functionality is me. Are you able to get this working with FCP 6.0.1?

Ah, sorry for not providing sufficient information (I hate that).
All of our systems and apps are up to date with latest everything from Apple as of this morning. I don’t know what all the rest of the numbers are but FCP is at 6.0.1bogiesan
