  • Final Cut Pro X – Problem with Canon XF Plugin for Final Cut Pro X 2.0

I installed the the Canon XF Plugin for Final Cut Pro X 2.0. When I launched FCP X (10.0.3) the application would hang on “Loading Compressor Support” and then briefly display my “Storage” drive (internal RAID on a MacPro). I thought it was a corrupt file, preferences, etcetera. Well, it turns out to be the Canon XF Plugin for Final Cut Pro X 2.0. I deleted the plugin and now I am back to working.

If you are having the same issue, remove the Canon XF plugin (instructions at: https://software.canon-europe.com/software/0040354.asp?model=)

    Cheers!

    Michael –

I just tried reinstalling the plugin to see if a third attempt had some charm, but it did not. I am using a 2 x 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel on a MacPro (tower). Whatever it is, it is not working well on my machine.

Anyone tried using this plugin with Sony XDCAM?
