October 11, 2017 at 4:09 amOk, that’s a library, not a folder.
My guess is that background rendering is on, final cut is rendering your timeline, and your render cache is in the library, making it larger.

“You have to modify the cache settings in fcpx.
Select the Library in the FCPX Browser and Open the inspector. You will see a button
to modify cache position. -

October 11, 2017 at 6:27 pmFrom 2011 till today, whenever a strange file/folder shows up in my system due to ingest from FCPX, I just toss it out.
I rarely use Optimized/Proxies and always use Leave files in place.
However, some odd formats tend to make FCPX act oddly.
I was strictly RED eco for years until this year.
Started getting projects from different cameras. -

OmniDiskSweeper to be able to see all the folders in order of size.Very smart for video files.
