Final Cut Pro X 10.34
Posted by Dawson Bliss on October 11, 2017 at 1:11 amI am starting a new project in FCPX and load 40 GB of files. Soon after that I run out of room on my HD and see that it has loaded my HD with a folder (Untitled) with 99.65 GB ….. Does anyone know what is happening. The settings on FCPX is set to leave files in place. Thanks in advance for any help. Dawson https://www.youtube.com/user/chebliss/videos

October 11, 2017 at 3:47 amAfter ticking optimised media and deleting all files and then re importing the same folder of files , some 40 Gb the ‘UNTITLED FOLDER ‘ had under a GB in it but now its up to 98GB and I have done nothing with the Project but its up to 98 GB in an hour or so … not sure how to post Screen Grab onto here?

So you are creating optimized media?
If so, that’s probably your problem.

October 11, 2017 at 3:56 amNo I wasn’t and someone suggested to tick that box and the problem continues after deleting the files starting a new project and importing the same original 40 GB folder … the untitled folder reappeared and is 90 GB
