Final Cut Pro freezing on playback – Decklink HD extreme
Just unpacked my new Decklink HD extreme, installed but a problem is happening. When i hit play on final cut with the Video Playback set to any blackmagic option, it freezes (spinning wheel) and i have for force it to quit.
Macpro (early 2008), card installed on 4th slot, latest driver (7.3.2), tested on both osx 10.6.1 and 10.5.8. Final cut 6.0.6
Don’t matter the input/output settings on Blackmagic config panel, final cut always freeze. Tried also several final cut “easy setup” options and no luck.
Was using a decklink SD pcie on the same machine without problems.
Any help?

I got the same problem
when i leave fcp few minutes
i lose my BM preview and if i hit play i got the wheel

After testing the hardware exhaustively in 4 different systems (including 2 of them working ok with a HD extreme 2 or decklink SP), no capture ou output worked, so I contacted my vendor and a return of merchandise was issued.
Im waiting my new board arrive.
