    Hi guys.
I’ve got a sequence I’m trying to export and it looks great in FCP but when exported as QT using current settings, it really craps up. I’ve done this a million times with no problems until now.
Thought it might be QT 7.4 problem so I reverted to 7.3.1 but no change Here are the details:

Sequence settings: 720×480 NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect: CCIR 601 (DV 720×480)
    Field Dom: Lower
    QT Video Settings: DV/DVCPRO-NTSC
    Quality 100%

I’ve posted images at the following site: https://community.webshots.com/user/btles

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

are you viewing on NTSC monitor or computer? On the computer you have to turn on “high quality” in qt player to see full rez.

AND HOW FREAKIN’ EASY COULD THAT BE?

How the heck do you folks know all of this stuff?
Better yet how the heck did it get turned off? Maybe the upgrade.
Anyway – it looks perfect now.

    Thanks!

For next time, open up Quicktime.

Go to the Quicktime Player > Preferences menu and check the box that says “Use high quality video when available”. That way you won’t have to do it each movie.
