2 part answer, second part first:

1. Select the transition in the Favourites bin in the effects tab of the Browser.
2. Select Edit > Clear (or press Delete)
(user manual page 391 – available from help in FCP)

1. Consider becoming a public chew toy for the Gen Arts Polar Bear mascot – go to the arctic circle and await instructions.
2. TRY CAPITALISING EVERYTHING!!!!!!
