final cut pro – clock generator thing???
How do you crop the FCP timer thing? its a filter not a generator… im having the same problems. the TOO MUCH TOO SOON is cool, but the clock jitters left and right with the size of the numbers…. i need 12 seconds AND milliseconds. if not for the jumping it would be perfect. any ideas?

Do you mean the timecode reader?
No provision for milliseconds in any filters I know of. Using a monospaced font is probably what you want to do to stop the variable width characters from undulating left to right.

no, the timecode Generator. how do you crop that? people keep saying they crop it to get rid of the milliseconds or which ever side they want to hide… but its a filter. how do you crop a filter??
and the TOO MUCH TOO SOON pack with the LED clock thing, you cant change the text….

You apply the filter to slug, and then crop the slug.
And they’re called ‘frames’, not miliseconds…

beginners tip for the day: 30 frames per second (two fields per frame, interlaced).

I live in PAL land where it is almost that simple. You poor folk in NTSC land have so many headaches over the lack of simplicity.

Yes, milliseconds are OK for Olympics Games and F1.
If you want to hide part of the TC, duplicate the same image in the second layer (without the TC Reader effect) and crop this one so it cover the part of the TC that you don’t want to show.
