  • Final Cut Pro Audio off 20 frames after capture

Hi, I am having a problem capturing my audio in my video clips in FCP 6.0.5.
I am recording my video on a DVX 100B at 24p advanced. I checked my camera, and the audio record settings are set to 48kHz. I am using a capture preset at 48kHz, but every time I try to capture a clip the audio is 20 frames off.
My capture presets are: DV NTSC 48kHz Advanced with Pulldown removal.
Please does anyone have any idea what is happening here? When I check a QT in the capture folder is says the fps is at 23.98 and I have two mono channels of audio.

Please help, I’m on a very tight deadline. Thank you very much for reading.

    Kristin

Check Final Cut Pro Menu > System Settings > Playback Tab to see if an offset is entered.

I don’t know what happened because I tried changing my capture presets twice to capture advanced 24p with the 3:2 cadence. The first time it didn’t work, but then it started working.. I think this problem may have started when I started using the advanced 24p setting, but I can’t remember. It remains somewhat of a mystery to me, but it’s working now. Thank you.
