    Hello,

I work on mac for editing(FCP) and motion designing.
Because the premium production packet, hearing and seeing how good it is, im willing to buy it.
Ill like to just edit further on Fcp for big edits, but for small edits where a lot of motion graphics are involved i would use premiere switching to AE…
Is the there a problem running 2 EDL, Edit programs at the same computer?
Whats the problem and what you guys think i should do?
I dont have a card(DV, DVCPRO, HD),but im planning also to buy one for FCP…or premiere hmz.

    T.

    Peace

You shouldn’t have an issue with both on the same computer. Both BlackMagic Design and AJA have cards that work on both, so you should have a problem with a card from either company.

Well, I have both FCP 6 and Premiere Pro CS3 now with the whole Production Premium pacakge. I also have a Kona LHe card but I’m still waiting for a driver update for the Kona card so that I can use it with Premiere Pro. Untill now Premiere Pro doesn’t recognize the crad.

Correction: PP does see the Kona card. Only it doesn’t work properly with it

No and I haven’t tried for ages now. But the good news that I heard is that in the fall AJA will have new drivers that do work with Premiere Pro. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
