Final Cut Pro and Motion Conflict
If anyone can help me out with this issue I’d be extremely greatful. I’m having a final cut pro conflict with motion files. I can’t import any motion files or view motion files from other sequences. I continue to get error messages stated that the file format is not recognizable. I’ve tried creating motion files and viewing ones from the same projects I couldn’t view on other edit bays and they work fine.
I’ve gone ahead and trashed the system preferences, rebooted the system, re-installed FCP 5.1.2 and Motion 2.1.2. I’ve also gone ahead and tried to use the motion files off of my internal hard drive as opposed to using the XSAN and still no luck.
Has anyone hard of this problem where Motion 2.1.2 suddenly stops being capatible with a particular G5 computer funning FCP 5.1.2?Thanks,

Are they from a newer version of Motion? There’s a newer version of FCP. I can’t remember what the last version of Motion was before 3.

I had the same problem… before I upgraded to FCS2. Since then, its been fine.
