Final cut pro 7/export files
I have problem to export a project (feature film) from time line through Quick Time Movie to my deskt or to a HD. During the process the program (Final Cut Pro 7) stops and says: GENERAL ERRO. I have enough space in my hard drive and in my computer, actually it never happened before.

how are you trying to export? You have not really given us any info to go off of other then you have a problem. More info please.

Hi there,
As I said I tried to Export ( File – Export – Quick Time Movie) a project using the Quick Time Movie and it starts well but after a couple of minutes the program ( final cut ) stops and says – General Error – and I can’t finish the exportation.
I used to export my projects in this same way and I never had problem.

I go to File and Export ( Quick Time Movie) and I don’t change anything there I just save.

Telling us you don’t change things does not tell ha what’s there.
Let’s start at the beginning.
What format video are you editing?
What are your timeline settings?
Is everything rendered before you try and export?
Are you exporting a self contained file or a reference file?
Are you exporting using timeline settings or IR other settings selected?
How full us the drive you are exporting the file to?
What format is that drive?With complete detailed info on your project and the export settings we might be able to figure out your issue.

My instinct is that you have some damaged media. Quick and easy test: duplicate the timeline twice.
On the first one, delete the 2nd half.
On the second one, delete the 1st half.Export both of those pieces. If one works and the other doesn’t? You know which half has the corrupt media.
