    Hi,

I know the subject is not new but I still can’t believe whats going on. I updated to Snow Leopard and the new Final Cut Studio 2 months ago. Before I barely had problems in my workflow, now its hell.
    So I got some questions.

    1. I experience several inexpicable things like my keyboard settings regularly changing from german to english and my final cut keyboard setting being resetted. Does anyone have similar experiences?

    2. Although Apple claims Snow Leopard is faster everything has slowed down on my system. Final Cut works slower and less stable, also simple tasks like multitasking when working with e.g. photoshop, a texteditor and a browser.

    3. Sonys XDCam… Transfer driver doesn’t work at all in Snow leopard, luckily I can import XDCam EX through FCPs Log+Transfer with the plug ins but as soon as I need to use Sonys plugin (XDCAM HD doesn’t work otherwise) I get errors, missing thumbnails… its a joke!
Sony told me they had no fix in December and advised downgrading to Leopard until new drivers are out. How can they take 4-5 months to come up with new drivers for a new OS on such an essential part?
Someone please tell me this is not true… I have looked all over, its nearly February and still no sign of an update for Snow leopard. What the hell is going on?

Thanks for any hints in advance,

    Karim

Not sure about the rest of your problems, but we are running Snow Leopard on 3 systems with no problems.

There is updated XDCam transfer and EX browser software for Snow Leopard that work fine.

I also am running the latest Mac OS and:

    • FC Studio 3
    • XDCAM Transfer
    • Sony Clip Browser

on a Macbook Pro and a Mac Pro tower with no issues. Yet.

It sure sounds as if you didn’t do a clean install of either the OS or FCS. Is that correct?
