Final Cut Pro 7 Is Changing My Music Cues?
Hi, I’m working in Final Cut Pro 7 and it’s changing my music cues.
Here’s what’s happening:
1. I import the track into Final Cut
2. I set an in and out point, drag it onto the timeline.
3. Render
4. When I play it back, the in point is not where I wanted it to be. It starts somewhere in the middle of the track instead of where I told it to. When I double click the track and view it in the browser, it appears to have the correct mark in judging by the waveform, but it’s not playing correctly.Has anyone else had this problem and do you have a solution? Because it’s happened to me multiple times now in multiple sequences and it’s driving me nuts.

BUZZ! You shouldn’t need to render. If you have to render the audio…something is wrong. FCP doesn’t work with MP3 or other compressed audio type. You need to convert it to AIFF 16bit Stereo 48kHz. There are settings in Compressor for this…in the AUDIO section. And it takes no time. Convert the audio, THEN go to Step 1. So Step 0 is “Convert the Audio.”
