Final Cut Pro 4 from Newer Version

Uhm, I’m kinda confused here.
What is Final Cut HD?

I have a system, it has stuff in it, and stuff hooked to it. I have a camera, it can record stuff. I read the manuals, and know how to use this stuff and lots of other stuff too.

FCP HD is the name of FCP 4.5. Because it dealt with DVCRO HD natively.

It is not available as a download. You can only look for old copies on ebay or similar.

Why are you trying to run an OLDER version of FCP on your system if you have FCP 6? As Scott said, FCP 6 does HD. Better than FCP HD (FCP 4.5) does.

FCP 6 uses codecs FCP 4.5 doesn’t…so there will be a major compatibility issue.

Umm why? You already have a MUCH newer and better version of FCP installed why would you need an older version. Projects created with an old version can be opened in the newer version.

Downloading ANY version of FCP would be illegal, but like I said I don’t thing you need the older version if you have the newer one.

I didn’t know that. Wasn’t down with FCP back then.
I think I was still doing tape splices on Quad…
