    Hello,

Ok, so I have opened the new Final Cut Pro update (10.1) several times and cleaned out and organized some media from my old projects. I must of done something wrong because now I try and open FCP and it just sits on the Final Cut Pro X logo screen with one big grey window behind it. I have access to the menu bar as well but It does not boot up the whole program. Did I delete some sort of a reference file that the program needs to open? How can I restore this if that’s the case?

    Thanks
    Mark

Hmmm, I attempted to locate that folder but can’t seem to find it. I have OSX version 10.9.1

After some more digging, I clicked on the FinalCutPro.app and found the layout folder under resources. Should I delete that and try to open up Final Cut again?

    Thanks

Just follow those instructions verbatim is best

    Hello again,

I’ve tried deleting and trashing the layout window folders under the resources folder in the Final Cut.app preferences but still no luck. The Final Cut Pro log appears and gets hung up on “restoring Window layout.” Anyother suggestions?

    Thanks
    Mark
