  • Final Cut not working after using soundtrack pro

So I’m working with Final Cut Pro 6.05. I exported to soundtrack and did some mixing. Then exported back to final cut. The final cut just opened briefly and then crashed. Now I can’t open any of my most recent final cut pro backups.

Final cut does open without a project (if I start and new one) and with very old versions of my project.
If I open final cut without a project and try opening a recent project it then crashes.

I also have the final cut project files saved to a small flash drive and tried to copy those onto the scratch drive and open. But no luck. I’m not sure if soundtrack pro corrupted my recent final cut project files or what.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and know what’s going on?

    Please help!

Have not heard of the problem you are having round tripping with Sound Track Pro.
    Have you tried:
Logging off of FCP and SoundTrack Pro and removing the flash drive from your Mac, deleting your preferences, opening your last project from the Autosave Vault instead of your flash drive? I don’t know if you are working in FCP with the flash drive attached, that might be a problem. I would also only copy projects to another drive while logged off of FCP. That might not be a big issue, but that is what I prefer when I back up project files.

    Hope that helps,

    Victor
