  • Final Cut not displaying on external monitor

Yesterday I added a new graphics card to my Mac Pro. I now have an ATI Radeon HD 3870 in slot one, and an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in slot two. I plugged in my 30 inch display into the new card (slot one), and my external monitor into the card in slot two. Everything works fine in all of the studio apps except for FCP. I’ve tried refreshing my AV Devices and restarting my machine, but all I get is a white screen on my external monitor. Motion, DVD Studio and Color utilize both monitors fine, just not FCP. I plugged both monitors into the card in slot one and it displays properly, but would like to keep each monitor on their own card. Any ideas?

I checked that, and still have a white screen.

Jerry, thanks for the response. I stumbled upon this, and it looks like I have my answer…it can’t be done across two graphics cards. https://support.apple.com/kb/TA24717?viewlocale=en_US
